What to Expect

WHILE YOU WAIT:

A phone call will speed things up. Look at our list of references. Visit the Contractors State License Board

links. Look at our workman's compensation insurance certificate.

You could check up on our credit history. One creditor said our credit is "as good as gold". Ask our

repeat clients why they continue to have us work for them on new projects.

WHEN THE BID ARRIVES:

It will be in the form of a wish list. Click on abbreviations to see them. Feel free to question anything.

If you will point out areas of interest, I will consult with you truthfully as we both look for ways to improve

quality or save money in that area.

LINE ITEM PRICES:

You pay for what you get, no more and no less. Extras cost extra, cuts lower the total. At the end of the

job, I will list the actual work done.

STEADY PROGRESS:

Once we start working, we will work until the project is completed, and I'll check for your permission

before moving on to other jobs.

WE DO THE WORK:

We supply everything, including scheduling inspections and coordinating with PG&E.

WE WORK TOGETHER:

When questions come up, let’s help each other. If you've gotten second opinions, let me know what

they said. Walk the job with me and inspect our work. Only praise the men if you're happy with the work.

Make payments on schedule. Expect the best, while allowing for mistakes and corrections.

SCHEDULING:

We can serve you better with a flexible schedule. In order to maintain high quality workmanship, we

have to spend the time it takes to thoroughly finish one job at a time and deliver what we promise.

If the client ahead of you adds more work to his job, please be patient and wait for us. We will extend

the same courtesy to you. As we near the end of the job ahead of yours, we will call you to confirm

the schedule for your work. Exact start dates are available if needed.

CHANGES:

As changes occur, I update the contract and email it to you. You do not have to print each one,

but rather keep them available for when a question comes up. Some clients enjoy the detailed

reports while others prefer to wait and go over the work list at the end of the job or during

the final inspection.

RETAINER:

A small fee that does not even cover the estimator's time will be requested at the time of the

job site visit. This fee will be credited to the total cost of the work.
