Plaster Patching
Patching small holes without mixing mud.
When requested, we will repair the small holes we had to make. We use a premixed plaster from the hardware store called Red Devil patching plaster. It states on the label that it is "ready to be painted upon application". To paint it before it dries you need a very fine hand and a very soft paint brush but it does work.
If you do it your self, you are going to need a trowel that is wider than the width of the hole in order to have good results.
When we plaster for our clients we usually let them know that it's just a scratch coat and a topcoat will be required. It is best to find a painter who knows how to prepare a wall including some rough spots. Better yet find a painter who knows how to patch the raw hole and you will save money as painters charge less than electricians.
